Physical Audio releases new physical modelling Plate and Spring reverbs Physical Audio has released brand-new versions of their physical modelling plate and spring reverbs. These have been developed from scratch using our new Physical Audio® Optimisation Engine, giving maximum sound quality with minimal CPU usage. Built upon years of state-of-the-art research, these reverbs use pure mathematical models running in real-time. Rather than recreating the sound of a specific piece of gear, these models allow maximum flexibility and parameter control. Since the finest details of vibration are included in the models, the reverbs cover a palette of sounds from vintage to modern. Dual Spring Reverb is the first ever plugin to model wave propagation in helical springs. The audio engine is built entirely upon the simulation of the inherent physical equations, giving creative control of the setup of the springs. Dynamic Plate Reverb uses a physical model of a thin metal plate to recreate the classic sound of plate reverberation.
