DroneLab soundscape synth for iPad/iPhone adds audio export feature

Originally designed to create shifting soundscapes for melodic improvisation and experimentation, DroneLab has caught the attention of iPad-based music producers looking to incorporate the sounds into their productions. The latest update adds features to make it easier to add DroneLab to any musical creation.

The new export feature creates an audio file, from 30 seconds to 12 minutes, using the current settings. Files can be exported as WAV files at up to 96kHz/24-bit, or as compressed m4v files at bitrates of 96Kbps to 256Kbps. Exports can occur faster than real-time; how fast depends on the export settings and the device.

The update is free for existing users, and is available now.

DroneLab is available for iPad and iPhone from the App Store for $2.99 USD, with prices varying in other regions.
