Acustica Audio releases the FIRE Filters, a new series of lightweight, one-knob plug-ins.

 

Processing audio has never been easier thanks to FIRE, the new series of single-knob plug-ins from Acustica.

This series aims to create an ‘easy-to-use’ product line that encompasses Acustica’s top-quality alongside a very intuitive use with just a few simple clicks!

Audio can be processed by several different types of filters (band-pass, notch, all-pass). Each filter response has its own field of use, yet for this first Fire series release, we have chosen the two most commonly used types: high-pass (or Low Cut) and low-pass (High Cut). There are 13 variants of high-pass filters (henceforth abbreviated as HP) and the same number of low-pass filters (LP), for a total of 26 different filters.

After a phase of careful planning our high technical know-how, and thanks to the precious contribution of N4 library developer SoundDrops, Acustica has built and sampled an analog modular hardware filter with the aim of creating one of the best and most complete analog emulation filters on the market.

FIRE the HP and FIRE the LP are the first Acqua plugins of the Fire series dedicated to High-Pass & Low-Pass filters:

Fire - The HP

• Frequency range: continuously variable from 10 Hz to 6.3 kHz.

• Modes: 4 different filter types (Bessel, Butterworth, +2dB resonance peak, +6dB resonance peak).

• Slope: 6 (1 pole) - 12 (2p) - 24 (4p) - 36 (6p) dB/oct.

Fire - The LP

• Frequency range: continuosly variable from 63 Hz to 40 kHz.

• Modes: 4 different filter types (Bessel, Butterworth, +2dB resonance peak, +6dB resonance peak).

• Slope: 6 (1 pole) - 12 (2p) - 24 (4p) - 36 (6p) dB/oct.
