Audec releases Shape free waveshaper distortion plugin (VST3/AU) Audec has returned with the release of a new free audio plugin. Shape is a waveshaper/wavefolder effect featuring 5 shaping curves: Hard Clip, Soft Clip, Tube, Triangle, and Sine. The plugin has controls for input gain, bias (asymmetrical distortion), dry/wet balance, output volume, and oversampling (up to 4x), which reduces alias noise caused by nonlinear effects such as saturator, overdrive, distortion, and clipper. Shape also has a scope view to visualize the shaping curve (transfer function). Shape is available as a “name your price” download, including free. It comes in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and Mac. |
