“计算机乐谱”MIDI更新LOGO，由五角设计打造
在上个世纪80年代初，电声乐器的发展遇到了障碍，来自美国加州的音乐人Dave Smith，说服唱片商使用了一种叫做“乐器数字接口”（Musical Instrument Digital Interface，MIDI）的通用格式。如今在电声乐器中，MIDI成为了编曲界最广泛的音乐标准格式，被称为“计算机能理解的乐谱”。
在2020年，MIDI首次对这个音乐标准格式进行了更新，2.0版本诞生，这是35年来的首次重大更新，因此，MIDI方面决定对整个品牌视觉进行重塑。
MIDI的LOGO是由伦敦Pentagram的合伙人，音响艺术家兼设计师スズキ ユウリ，还有图形设计师Sascha Lobe共同打造。
スズキ ユウリ在MIDI的陪伴下长大，如今也是他职业生涯的必需品，在他看来，MIDI是创作音乐的基准，也是音乐史上的一项巨大成就。因此他设计的LOGO充满了音乐的律动感，展现了MIDI的开源精神，推动它成为连接着着全世界的自由纽带。

设计过程中，设计师的理念来源于“可视化的声音”。新LOGO选择了由Lobe团队设计的无衬线字体，MIDI首字母"M"，它由两条“参数曲线”组成，代表沿两个方向传播的声波，反映了MIDI更新后的双向性。
