Create your own effects with Soundspear’s open source Formula Soundspear has introduced a free and open-source integrated development environment to create, debug and test your own audio effects. The effects are made using the C programming language within Formula, which runs either as a plugin in VST3 and AU formats, or as standalone software for Windows and Mac.
Additionally, a Formula Cloud subscription offers musicians and sound engineers the possibility to access effects made by the Formula community. With a starting catalog of 50+ effects, Soundspear commits to create and add studio effects on a regular basis. Every new Soundspear plugin will also be available on Formula Cloud.
