It can be used to route audio between applications running on your Mac. The user can easily create virtual audio drivers, name them, and set their cable count. This is a useful tool for OBS - you can create drivers with unique names and use them in different scenes. For example, you can create a dedicated driver for Discord, a driver for Skype, Chrome, and so on. Then, you can simply choose them in OBS for each scene.
