The Z5600 features a 9-point polar pattern selector located on its custom power supply. This allows the user to switch between the standard omnidirectional,cardioid,and figure-8 patterns gradually,thus providing superior control in any recording environment. The large 1.07" gold diaphragm gives this microphone a fat bottom end response and high sensitivity. The microphone uses a replaceable 12AX7 tube and boasts a very low self-noise rating for a microphone of its type.
